About
Raised in Kitimat, BC, Kyla moved to the Lower Mainland to attend Simon Fraser University and quickly fell in love with Port Moody.
In 2013, she made it her home and have been proud to build her life and family here ever since.
With a background in corporate finance and governance, she's spent over 20 years supporting private, public, and non-profit organizations, and currently work with a national cancer non-profit. She also serves on the board of Theatrix Youth Theatre Society, reflecting her passion for community and the arts.
Since being elected to Council in 2022, she's focused on strengthening governance, improving financial stability, advancing key infrastructure projects, and supporting public safety, parkland, and the arts. She's chaired multiple committees and worked closely with local organizations to move our city forward.
Kyla is committed to building a strong, accountable, and opportunity-filled Port Moody, one that works for families, seniors, and future generations.
